Hello colleagues: We’ve received comments from quite a few of you about the report template/outline. As I mentioned in my previous post, this is truly just a starting point and NOT meant to suggest or influence particular project outcomes. - There need to be changes to the Forest Productivity paragraph in regards to seasonal and spot shortages of key species.
- The Forest Composition and Health paragraph captures well the predicament MN is in.
- The paragraph on Forestry and the Bioeconomy is a nice way to steer us as we develop recommendations.
- The outline for the recommendations looks fine to me.
- I don't think the first paragraph on "productivity" accurately reflects the discussions we have been having. This is "boards and cords" whereas I think folks are in agreement that our forest "outputs" can produce much more than traditional measures.
- A great beginning and a stimulating outline from which to frame discussions!
- I think "quality of life" needs to be mentioned in the public understanding and mixed ownership sections.
