Hello forest tours participants: At the working dinner in Minneapolis, I introduced a first draft "working definition of productivity" for our project. This was my attempt to synthesize your perspectives and comments, which I gathered from the "What is Productivity?" conversation that Jim Bowyer began on the Skidder earlier this summer. I also reviewed some other attempts to define forest productivity in our state and region. At the bottom on this post you'll find is a list of the resources I used.
At the dinner, we decided to keep tweaking this document via the Skidder, and then return to the conversation during our Scandinavia trip. By the end of the trip, we hope to have a working definition of productivity that all participants can sign-on to, and use in the final project report.
For now, I welcome and encourage your suggestions to this draft. Please hit the “comment” button to add your thoughts. Thanks, Allison
